Hello from Alaska!

Well hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been kind of busy. Yes, I know, I'm lame. *cries*
ANYWAY, let me tell you a little about what's been happening.
Our trip didn't get off to the greatest start on Saturday. Our second flight was delayed, causing us to miss our connecting flight, which meant that we had to spend ten hours in the Denver airport waiting for our new flight. Yeah, THAT was fun.
Long story short, we did finally make it to Alaska. Yesterday, we slept a lot (blaming it on jet lag, but we were probably just being lazy) and then went to the Anchorage fair/market. It was just like we remembered from two years ago! I love it when that happens. =)
We ended the day by seeing The Dark Knight Rises AGAIN, but this time, in IMAX........words cannot describe the awesomeness that we experienced.
So yeah, that's basically what we've done. The major time change is throwing us all off, and the fact that it doesn't get dark at night. Yeah, that's taking some getting used to.
I'm using a blogger app, and I don't really know how picture posting works, so I will leave you with this photo of me and Christy, being....well, me and Christy.

Shopping!

So yesterday, me and my best friend, Becky, went shopping! Yay! It's been awhile since we've had a girl's day out, so yesterday, we went shopping for a good part of the day.

Of course, getting ready in the morning is always a challenge....
Especially if you wake up looking like this. Ugh.

Twenty minutes later, it was getting a little better...

And the final result in this terrible picture that I should have previewed before saving...

Yikes. Okay, anyway....

At my insistence, we hit Walmart first, because, well, I'm cheap. XD And I actually found two cute v neck shirts for five bucks each! Yay!

We went to several other stores, and we each got a couple more things. It was hard finding anything for a reasonable price that wasn't a tank top! Good grief! I was trying to find shirts with sleeves because......I'M GOING TO ALASKA!!!!!!! Yesssssss! I know, I know, it's exciting, please, try to keep it down. I will give more details on that later, but for now, I leave you with this pic of me and Becky. We've been best friends since third grade. =)

Yep, always goofballs. =)

My Life (or at least a glimpse)

Yes, I have one, believe it or not, stop laughing.

I have not supplied you with very much information on my life, so here goes.

Me:

Yep, this is me. I can feel the readers leaving my blog.....
No, really, I can look semi-decent when I want to, but I much prefer to take *real* pictures of myself.
So anyway, I like chocolate. Like, really. lol Okay, I get it. REAL information.
I'm known among my friends as being the one who speaks her mind. Which is why I get invited along on shopping trips. I'll tell you how it is, even if you don't like it.
Also, as my friends also point out, I'm often oblivious to things going on around me. Such as, if other people are trying to hint at what they're feeling or what they want, it all goes right over my head. My logic: Well, if they wanted me to know, they would just tell me, right?
Ha.
Okay, next.

My sister
This is my sister, Christy. (who is obviously more photogenic than I) In the past couple of months, Christy has really started to blossom into a beautiful young woman. Anyway, she is two years younger than I am. She is definitely more of a people person than I am, which is a good thing.
What she likes: watching TV, and texting Chord, also known as Chordy-Poo, by me. lol She met him about three weeks ago, and they are madly "in love". I've been trying to warn her, but, well, when you're sixteen years old, you don't listen to your older sister, now do you? =)
NEXT *imperial voice*

Ah, this is my little sister, Sarah. My family affectionately calls her "my kid" because we are so similar, despite the obvious racial differences. (I mean really, could I ever get a tan like hers?)
She's a little carbon copy of me when I was her age. Which, unfortunately, brings to mind the words troublemaker, smart (too smart for her own good) and sneaky.
But of course, I love my child anyway. <3

Next (and I swear this is a different kid)

This is me and my OTHER adopted sister, Emily. No, she and Sarah are not twins. Emily is two months younger. Emily is the exact opposite of me as a child, and the antidote to Sarah. She's sweet to a disgusting point, innocent to the same, and doesn't know the definition of the words "conniving", "scheming", and "manipulative", all of which define Sarah (don't get me wrong, Sarah can be a little darling when she wants to be. She's just probably trying to pick your pocket of your phone or something)
She's always got a ready smile and a cheerful spirit (except when she's just woken up)
Compared to the withdrawn-around-others-Sarah, she is definitely the public favorite. Not that it bothers Sarah at all. She's got me. =)

Well, aside from my parents and two older sisters, that's my family. =) I'll probably talk more about Sarah and Emily later (I mean really, do I ever stop?) Proud kinda-not-really-mom here. =')

Women's Conference!

Well, I had a blast at the Women's Conference that my church puts on annually. Basically, it's where all of the women of the church gather together at a specific location for the weekend, and we fellowship, listen to amazing speakers, and go crazy. Yes, all of us go crazy, even the *ahem* elderly.

This year, the conference was held at an old western town about an hour and a half from my house. This place is very close to my heart, because I helped build it. I stayed with the builders for a month several years ago and helped to consruct it. Pretty cool, I know, try to calm down.

This is a picture of part of the town.

As you can see, it's pretty cool. There's a diner, a bank, a hotel, a jail, and the undertaker's. All delightfully old-fashioned looking.

My favorite is the jail.

Because, well, obviously, it's really cool!

It's got jail outfits and all sorts of other costumes and props. Unfortunately though, the cell doors do not lock.

This year, our conference was about being....

This year was even better than usual, because they added in a few other elements. Instead of just having speaker after speaker after speaker, they had people give testimonies, and sing songs, and they also had pannels.

This is what I mean by a pannel. They had three altogether, two of older women, and one of younger women. Basically, we got to ask the pannel whatever we wanted, and they had questions pre-selected to answer as well. Most of the question were like, "What do you do when the kids are driving you crazy and you want to be a good example?" and stuff like that, which didn't really apply to me, because well, I don't have any kids. I'm about as close as you can get though without really being a mom. (I have two five year old sisters) Anyway, it was very interesting.

This year, during free time, (during which I usually sleep) they had crafts. Even though I am probably the most, hmm, let's say "artistically challenged" person you'll ever meet, I still made a few tiles.

Okay, the scary zebra thing on the bottom was my first attempt. Then, other people helped me make the other two. My favorite is the one on the bottom left.

So, that basically sums up my weekend. I'm having a hard time getting back into the blogging groove and remembering to take pictures, but it's slowly coming back. I hope your weekend was just as good!

Old Woman no Longer!

Today is gonna be SO crazy! A good crazy though.

So, technically, today started with seeing the midnight Dark Knight Rises showing. In a word: awesome! It was so good! (of course, I always recommend reading a review first *personally, I favor plugged in*) Except for a couple of things (the occasional curse word *so not cool* and the occasional low cut dress) it was amazing! Wow! Okay, that's enough for that, I don't pretend to be a movie critic.

Anyway, today, I'm going to a three day women's conference that my church is hosting, and I'm SUPER psyched! Lots of fellowship, lots of different speakers, and LOTS of fun! I've gone to it for the last four years, and this year, I'm moving into the "fun" cabin, which means I'll be rooming with all of the college age girls. My friends always tease me, saying I'm an old woman, because often, I'm the practical, go-to-bed-at-nine friend. So, being the old woman that I am, I've been bunking with the other *quieter* ladies for the past years, but this year, I am breaking out! I'm getting crazy! No more old woman this weekend!

Internet connection out there is spotty, but I will take some pictures to share. =) Keep smiling!

Followers, Anyone?

Hey y'all (well, now I guess you know I'm from the south, that narrows it down) I was just wondering if you want to share the links to a few of your favorite blogs. I'm looking for more peeps to follow, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

New Post

Yes, this is a new post. Why am I making a new post, if I only have one follower who doesn't really read this blog? Well, I'll tell you. I decided to make this pointless post just so anyone who might visit my blog will know that I am still around, and that I plan to keep posting. Okay, so there you have it. =)

First Post!

Hey there! My name (or my blogger name) is Pink Panther. Why Pink Panther, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you. I like pink, and I'm like a big cat. Sometimes lazy, sometimes playful, and I like to sleep. =D I was on blogger a couple of years ago, so some of you might know me, but this time, I'm under a different name. I have to go now, but I will definitely get some personal information to y'all soon. TTYL!
